NEW POETRY ANTHOLOGY TO BE PRESENTED AT BROADWAY BOOKS

Broadway Books is pleased to announce a special event to be held at the store on Tuesday, September 21st, at 7 pm.

We’ll be celebrating the publication of a new poetry anthology. New Poets of the American West, published by Many Voices Press in Kalispell, Montana, includes poets from eleven western states. This panoramic (and revealing) view of the West through the eyes of more than 250 poets (and 450 poems) includes poems in English, Spanish, Navajo, Salish, Assiniboin, and Dakota languages.

Oregonians reading from their contributions to this new book at our event will be Penelope Scambly Schott, Ellen Waterson, Michele Glazer, Joy McDowell, Ingrid Wendt, Lisa Steinman, David Axelrod, Harold Johnson, and Jenny Root.

This event is free and open to the public. Broadway Books is located at 1714 NE Broadway, Portland. For more information, contact Roberta Dyer or Sally McPherson at (503) 284-1726 or bookbroads@qwestoffice.net. You may also visit our website: www.broadwaybooks.net.
